Frankly speaking the death of my mother saddened me greatly as I loved her very much and she extra loved me and actually she was more a friend of mine.

Now I have a dream that is burning my heart. Before the death of my mother I was thinking of establishing an orphanage center in my home region as it is an area which has been seriously affected by the scourge of HIV/ADS and the number of orphans is increasing daily. I thought the idea would gain momentum some years from now. However, after the death of my mother, I felt that I have to work on it due to the sad experience I passed through.

You know, I am a grown up and independent person, but the death of my mother shocked me greatly and I felt as if my life had reached an end. Out of that I started to think of children who are left helpless due to the deaths of their parents. They must be going through a hard time and they need someone to sympathize with them. Who should do that? I think and believe that I am one of those who are supposed to do something for them. This is my 8th Year of working with World Vision and I am directly involved with children on daily basis. In that regards I believe that I have the experience and I need to run an orphanage center.

My plan is to build a home for orphans and to build a nursery school at the center then we will grow slowly to primary school and eventually secondary

School. That is to ensure that the future for them is brightened. I know that it is a costly venture but I believe that because of my inner intention which is purely springing out of the compassion of Christ that this will work and the orphans will see a revived future.

The center will be known as the Gerladina Orphanage & Education Centre in commemoration of my late mother whose name is Gerladina.
