Agriphina

• Gender: Female
• Date of Birth: August 2, 2004
• Education: Not in school because she is under age.
• Favorite Game: Group games and playing with dolls
• Father's Situation: Died in November 2004
• Mother's Situation: Died in March 2005
• Health: Average
• Current Location: Living with her aunt
• Living Condition: The living environment is not conducive for Agriphina, her aunt is not capable to take care of her, and meanwhile her aunt’s husband is not willing to see Agriphina living with them for more.
• Siblings: Levina (8 years old) and Abela (5 years old)

Derick

• Gender: Male
• Date of Birth: April 12, 2000
• Education: Just started grade one
• Favorite Game: Football
• Father's Situation: Died on January 19, 2001
• Mother's Situation: Alive but needs assistance.
• Health: Average
• Current Location: He is living with his mother who is not able to work due to health problems.
• Living Condition: Not good. His mother is not in a good health, hence can not work to provide for her children's basic needs.
• Siblings: Lightness (11 yrs) and Siwema (9 yrs)

• Living Condition: He is living with his grandmother who is old and unable to provide him with essential requirements. Her house collapsed and she was unable to repair it.

• Living Condition: The person she is living with has no permanent residence that is very needy. She also depends on getting assistance from other people and currently she is living with Gisela in her uncle’s house.

• Living Condition: Not conducive, her grandmother is unable to look after them and her daughter has been sick for long time.

• Education: Not in school because of lack of permanent residence, she moves from here and there with her grandmother.

• Mother's Situation: Alive but mentally unfit and she is now imprisoned after attempting to kill her last child (Frank ) by throwing him in the bush.

• Living Condition: Her grandmother who she is living with has no house, no food to feed them and unable to cloth them.
• Siblings: Frank (1yr and 6 months) - currently living with his mother in the prison and Lillian (4 yrs and 3 months)
• Comment: Irene has been registered on the grounds of vulnerable child.

• Date of Birth: July 10, 2003
• Education: Not in school because she is under age.
• Favorite Toy: Playing will dolls
• Father's Situation: Died on February 13, 2004
• Mother's Situation: Alive but abandoned the family
• Health: Average
• Current Location: She is living with her aunt who is now unable to support her due to her ill health.
• Living Condition: Not good. Her aunt has no capacity to provide Jessica the basic needs. They are living by getting assistance from relatives.

Kanganyila

• Date of Birth: May 12, 2003
• Education: Not in school because she is under age.

• Father's Situation: No one knows him so it is not known if he is alive or not.
• Mother's Situation: Died in November 2005

• Current Location: Living with her uncle who is also a child
• Living Condition: Not good. Her uncle who is taking care of her is a school pupil in grade 5. Both need someone to take care of them.

FAQ for Sponsors

1. Will I receive letters from my child?

   Yes, if your child is old enough to write you will receive 4 letters per year from your child. If your child is not old enough to write you will receive 4 drawings and letters from the director telling you how your child is progressing.

2. Can I mail items to my child?

   We are looking into this … but to eliminate your postage costs we are looking at creating an online store so you can buy things for your children and the director will purchase them locally.

3. Will I be the only sponsor for my child?

   Yes, unless you agree to co-sponsor with someone, you will be the only sponsor for your child.

4. May I visit my sponsored child?

   Absolutely. If you wish to visit please let us know so we can make arrangements.
